YOU’VE GOT YOGHURT IN YOUR NOSTRILS
AFFIRM PRESS August 2023
ISBN: 9781922848246
You’ve got yoghurt in your nostrils, avocado-smeared hair, bacon in your bellybutton, and toast crusts on your chair.
Join baby as they discover how much fun food can be – and not just to eat!
You’ve Got Yoghurt In Your Nostrils is a fun and beautifully illustrated picture book that aims to normalise the glorious mess babies and toddlers create when learning to explore food and their bodies, while also celebrating the joy and connection that sharing food with family and friends brings.
Bethany Clark and Sara Acton have served up a scrumptious treat in this joyous celebration of the tastes, textures and glorious mess involved in learning to feed ourselves.
‘Oh my goodness, this book is a riot of joy and fun and musical sounds! Learning to eat is tricky, and this book squeezes every single itty-bitty drop of hilarity from the experience. Begging to be read out loud with its glorious, loose rhyme … a complete romp that will no doubt bring grimaces and exuberance in equal measure.’
Elizabeth Vercoe, Kid’s Book Review
‘Those readers who have experienced the pleasure of introducing new foods to their baby or toddler will love sharing this wonderful picture book with their own children or gifting it to new or soon-to-be parents. A very entertaining read. Highly Recommended.’
Kathryn Beilby, ReadPLUS
‘This is a fun book about the pleasure of eating, which highlights that food is not just all about taste … it’s the slippery spaghetti, the sticky bananas, it’s squishy and squashy and very funny.’
Jane Stephens, Good Reading
‘This book is an entertaining romp through baby’s introduction to new foods. It’s a delightfully messy affair as baby explores just how much fun can be had with food at any time of the day. Have a chuckle and share it with the little ones you love.’
Michelle Guzel, author
‘This upbeat and fun rhyming book is perfect for those families at the baby-led weaning stage of development. Ah, the joys. The mess! … Kids will chuckle at the illustrations and mums will laugh out loud at the ending. Such a nice, finishing touch.’
Rita, @get.kids.booked
‘A quietly exuberant book for babies. … it revels in messy food and fun. Pitch perfect and highly recommended.’
